Because I'm Crazy, That's Why.

Today I committed myself to another 5k. I should have just had myself committed. But now that the deed is done, what I really need to do is commit myself to a new pair of running shoes, or I’ll be committing myself to a knee injury.

The less crazy thing about this one, though, is that I am signing up for a training program for it, rather than going it alone. So, who knows, maybe I’ll actually I have a respectable time (for me) this time around. I’ll find out in seven weeks. Mostly, I signed up for it because I’m getting a little bored by working out and I need a new goal.

My first big fitness goal was to get down to 124 lbs. Got there in March 2005.
My next big goal was to do 50 regular pushups. Got there last summer.
After that it was to run a 5k. Check!
Now it’s a 5k in under 33 minutes.

Next goal: The Columbia Irongirl Sprint Triathlon in 2008. You heard it here first.

Congrats girl! My fitness goal is to only run if someone is chasing me. Seriously.
