It is already starting. The web classes officially ended four days ago, and I just obligated myself to fill in for another yoga teacher twice this week. Then, we’re off to see my dad in wherever the hell he lives for the weekend. Why do I do this? As my grandmother just said to me, “When you’re busy, you’re BUSY. You just go.”
So, to keep myself accountable and out of trouble, here is a list of what really needs my attention this summer, for all the world to see.
1. Write a play.
2. Spend some more quality time with instruments. (Last Saturday I woke up with a new song in my head for the first time in months? Years?)
3. Finish refinishing the hope chest.
4. Attend three to four yoga classes a week, regardless of how much I teach.
5. Build the attendance in the yoga classes I am teaching. (To be fair, subbing twice this week fits into that category.)
6. Chill, chill, chill.
So, there. It already feels a little like my time is collapsing. But no worries. See #6.
