It is late. I am tired. I am also a little frustrated by the slow, sleepy process of writing lately. For all the time I spent staring at a screen today, I have very little to show for it. Mostly, I have been writing around in circles trying to get to whatever the hell it is I want to talk about.
But, for what it’s worth, I got one nice paragraph out of the effort, on which to build.
I asked him why he wanted pictures instead of video. Video appeared to be a premium on all of the sites. He wrote:
A video has a start and an end. You watch it, and then it is over. Pictures capture the moment and hold it still, make it… exalted, sacred, something that exists outside of time. I can stare at a picture and be back in the experience for a second or an hour. A picture never ends. It’s like having a pause button for the best, most fulfilling moments of my life.
