Today was a festive new years / detox yoga retreat out in Reisterstown at Pearlstone Retreat Center, lead by the lovely Camille. It was a good day of lots of yoga and a little meditation. Highlights:

My shoulders were completely worn out here. Also, lining up four people in similar clothing was not intentional.
Early on, I got it – the three areas where my whole soul needs to focus right now, much clearer than new years. All the busy-ness coming up in the next few months, is just the framework, the dharma.
Meditation – I have been out of the meditation habit, and this was the first time in a while that I spent time in an inactive meditation. It felt wonderful, and watching the room afterward was so interesting. Some people were content to just sit and be quiet, enjoying the calm. Others immediately needed to start conversations.
Ben Beirs – Really terrific* musician, who provided lovely music for the restorative part of the practice.
Then I came home and had biscuits.
*And cute!
