Filing done? Nope. Stories finished? No way. House clean? Feh. Caught up on reading? Pretty much. Major, life changing epiphany, one of those oh, THAT’S what all of the major wisdom traditions and religions are talking about, THAT THING epiphanies, yup.
All in all, a successful social media / blog holiday.
I realized recently that I have all of these pictures on my phone that are a picture book of my life outside of my house. (That wasn’t the epiphany.) I take pictures with my phone all the time when I am out for walks, out and about running errands, and heading to and from classes. The ones from my camera get loaded up fairly frequently – not so the ones from my phone. So, I narrowed down a couple hundred images to a representative sample of what my life looks like day to day. There are a lot of flowers, it turns out. I love flowers, but only when they are still attached to their plant, and the plant attached to the ground. Cut flowers make me sad; I’ll take a thorny rosebush over a bouquet of roses any day.
